The twelve most important words you will speak

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

In this week’s Success Newsletter, I would like to reveal the twelve most important words in a marriage or any relationship; words that can lead to the happiness, health and longevity of a relationship.

First a quick update:

·         “How important is space in a relationship?”– Read the interview I gave in latest issue of InTouch Weekly magazine about Katie Holmes’ desire for more space from husband Tom Cruise. Also read my words about Patrick Swayze’s inspirational response to Cancer in the latest issue of “The National Enquirer”;

·         “Hypnosis doubles the success of IVF Treatments”– Researchers at Soroka University in Israel found that 28% of woman in the group that were hypnotized became pregnant compared to 14% of those were not hypnotized. I have created a special 15-minute guided visualization that reduces stress, giving suggestions to the subconscious mind that can impact the workings of the body and improve fertility. Download my gift now by going to http://patrickwanis.com/happilypregnant/ and send your friends there as well.

·         “The Secret – live”– See John Assaraf and others from The Secret speak and train live at a 2-day event along with other leading minds and teachers such as Chris and Janet Atwood and  Dr. Alexander Loyd http://www.themastersgathering.com?11226

Now, let’s talk about the power of words and the twelve most important words in any relationship.

A history of marriage reveals that its origins were primarily to protect property and bloodlines. For example, Ancient Hebrew law required that if a man dies, then his brother should marry the widow – his sister in law. (Deuteronomy 25:5, Genesis 38:8-10.) In other words, marriage wasn’t always based around love. PsychologyToday.com claims that in the US, at the end of the 17th century, “Protestant ministers warn spouses against loving each other too much, or using endearing nicknames that will undermine husbandly authority.” Thus, in the 21st century, as marriage has evolved to be a union based primarily around love, matters have become vastly more complicated; and arguments now arise regarding even the gender of the marital union.

When marriage was based on property rights, inheritance, power and keeping the family name alive, matters were somewhat simpler. Today, the desire to keep the romance, and love alive in the marriage warrants specific strategies that were unnecessary in a relationship where love didn’t matter.

So, what are the twelve magic words that can empower, elevate and ensure the longevity of a marriage and any relationship?

Patrick’s Loving Goodbye

As the realization set in that he would soon lose his courageous battle against pancreatic cancer, actor Patrick Swayze bid a loving farewell to his closest friends and family.

Patrick – who has spent the last 16 months undergoing grueling cancer treatments and endless nights of pain and suffering – has lost his hair and nearly half of his body weight, but not his strength of character or his undying message of hope.

“Patrick, of course, would like to live for many more years, but he has had a life that most people can only dream of, so he has always been very grateful,” said a close family friend.

What do you want?

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

In this week’s Success Newsletter, I would like to discuss why it is critical to know what you want and, reveal to you the most important question that will determine whether or not “it” is what you really want and whether or not it is in your best interests to pursue it.

First a quick update:

·         “Getting over it”– If you have experienced a breakup, betrayal or rejection, it’s natural to react and respond in ways that are actually damaging to the healing and grieving process. It is also easy to stay stuck in your pain and stay stuck in the past, wondering if you will ever be able to get over it, get on with your life and love again. To help you, I have created a special 3-CD package. Make the joyous shift today and begin a new life! Click here: http://patrickwanis.com/getoverit_package.asp

Now, let’s talk about what you want.

In the 1997 motion picture, “As Good As It Gets”, Jack Nicholson plays Melvin a cranky, bigoted, obsessive-compulsive writer, whose life is changed with a series of events, starting when he is entrusted to look after the dog of his gay neighbor Simon (Greg Kinnear) who has been brutally beaten.

In one scene in the movie, Melvin (Jack Nicholson) has fallen in love with Carol (Helen Hunt) who now doesn’t want anything to do with Melvin because of his rude and selfish behavior. Simon is trying to get Melvin to admit he is in love with Carol, but Melvin is typically resistant.

Now, let’s talk about what makes a woman beautiful or ugly.

Statistics reveal that in 2007, in the US, plastic surgery for women rose by 8 % while in 2008, due to the economy, it dropped by nine percent and worldwide women had almost 3 million injections of Botox.

In an interview I gave to XM radio about Miley Cyrus’ controversial photo shoot with racy photos at age just 15, I revealed that as a society we have an obsession with young girls which in turn perpetuates the diseased message that we should only value youth, beauty and glamour. (To listen to the interview: http://patrickwanis.com/RadioInterviews.asp )

America’s obsession with youth in general is led and spread by Hollywood’s vanity-disorder: Kim Cattral, Janice Dickinson, Vanessa Williams, Lisa Rinna, Lori Loughlin, Jenny McCarthy and Sharon Osbourne are just a few celebrities who openly admit using Botox. The message via these women, movies, advertising, media and Hollywood is that a woman’s beauty is skin-deep; her only value and self-worth is her external beauty.
