A Christian kills 3 people at a Planned Parenthood Clinic; A Muslim kills 49 people at a gay nightclub and a teenager who converted to Christianity kills 9 people in a shopping mall.
Was Orlando Massacre, Munich Massacre and the Planned Parenthood Clinic killings also hate crimes?
The legal terminology of a Hate Crime is “a crime motivated by racial, sexual, or other prejudice, typically one involving violence.” However, anytime someone walks in and kills a group of people, it’s a hate crime, whether it’s ‘I hate specifically this group of gay people, or I hate this group of Muslims, or I hate this group of Christians, or I hate this group of Jews’, or I just went into a supermarket and killed 15 random people, it’s a hate crime, it’s hate against humanity – even if it’s not a specific group. (Prosecutors in Indiana are seeking the death penalty against Johnathan Cruz, the 19-year-old Indianapolis man accused of killing three men during a four-day crime spree that police likened to the 2013 horror movie “The Purge.” Police say all of the murder victims were chosen randomly.)
In other words, when people talk about the perversion of Islam or the perversion of any religion, I say you have to be psychopathic to commit murder on such a level, the religion is just the excuse.
The religion and the ISIS ideology were the excuse for Omar Mateen the shooter in the Orlando Massacre to say it’s not really that I’m gay and I hate being gay and I hate myself that I’m going to kill these gay people, I’m going to try and justify it to myself, to relieve myself of shame by saying really, it’s for the ideology of this religion.
Look at that other person, Robert Lewis Dear, Jr., who killed 3 people in Colorado at the Planned Parenthood Clinic in Nov. 2015. How is that any different? Why is it okay for a person that says ‘I’m Christian, I don’t believe in abortion” to go and kill a doctor who’s committing abortions or to kill people that work in a clinic or kill people that are attending a clinic? The murderer, Robert Lewis Dear, Jr., once wrote on a marijuana forum “Turn to JESUS or burn in hell […] WAKE UP SINNERS U CANT SAVE YOURSELF U WILL DIE AN WORMS SHALL EAT YOUR FLESH, NOW YOUR SOUL IS GOING SOMEWHERE.”
That’s a psychopath as well. He’s just using another ideology or another religion as a pretext.
He’s saying I’m doing this because I’m protecting the unborn children, or I’m protecting the unborn life or I’m protecting the fetuses. You’re still going out and killing mass people, it’s still a psychopathic behavior.
There’s no empathy from him. One might try and argue he has empathy for those fetuses, but really he doesn’t.
And then there’s Ali David Sonboly, 18, the boy who shot and killed nine people on July 22nd, 2016 in the Munich massacre: It is now believed he targeted youngsters of “Turkish and Arab” origin, having claimed those groups had picked on him in school. He wasn’t part of any religious ideology but it was a hate crime. Again, all of these are examples of psychopathic behavior – all under the pretense of religion, an ideology or revenge.
