“Lindsay Lohan’s real problem is not alcohol or cocaine” according to one behavior expert & therapist who says her real problem is her relationship with her parents. Lohan was busted early Tuesday on DUI charges for the second time in a matter of months and charges of cocaine possession.

“Like so many other troubled celebrities, Lohan who just recently completed more than six weeks in a rehab center, is being treated for her substance abuse but not her internal emotional abuse” says Human Behavior Expert and Celebrity Life Coach Patrick Wanis.  “Lohan’s real issue is her domineering mother, a poor relationship with father and her struggle with her own sexuality.”

“Just like Paris Hilton and Britney, each of the Brat Pack’s mothers lords it over them and pines for the fame almost as badly as the daughters –note the publicized power struggle between Britney and her mother.” Also, while each of the Brat Pack’s fathers was absent during the crucial formative years from adolescence to adulthood the result is a loss of a sense of justice, right and wrong, avoidance of responsibility and fears of commitment and rejection.

Wanis says it is very frustrating that Lohan wants to get better but is not getting the real help she needs. “Lohan won’t get better or conquer her substance abuse until she conquers and resolves within herself her core emotional issue of the negative impact of her disempowering relationship with her parents.”
